Septic Tanks
Septic Tanks provide onsite sewage disposal systems for home dwellings in rural areas or remote locations. Waste produce flows from the toilet, bathroom, laundry, kitchen or other sources into the tank, where liquids, fats, oils and solids are separated. Bacteria in these septic tanks consume the waste produce, and leave behind a liquid which flows on to an evapo-transpiration field. The liquid is evaporated by wind and sun or transpired through plants.
At Greasetrap we offer septic tank systems to the residential and commercial markets throughout Ireland. If you have an existing septic system that is not working properly, the first thing we do is investigate the problem. If possible, we will always try to rectify the problem. If you are looking to setup or install a system for the first time the first step in designing an onsite septic system is to complete a site assessment. We work with our clients to help find the best location and most efficient system for their property.
The overall life of your onsite septic system comes down to three things: design, installation, and maintenance. Regularly servicing your septic system will ensure a long lasting, trouble free wastewater system.
At Greasetrap, we are proud to stand behind and maintain every septic system we design and install. Once the design and installation are complete, our clients receive an operation and maintenance manual, which includes a maintenance program tailored to their specific system. We record and file all service for the homeowner and for our records.
